More CCTV to cut alcohol-fuelled violence

CCTV cameras will be installed in Perth’s northern suburbs in a bid to curb alcohol-fuelled violence.

Scarborough will receive the cameras next month.

The City of Wanneroo will expand their network, which already has cameras in Clarkson, Girrawheen, and the town centre.

Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said an extra $200,000 had been allocated in the budget for the additional cameras.

Luke Adams has lent his voice to the campaign.

The Swan Districts ruckman was critically injured after a one-punch attack in Northbridge last year.

“I know what [violence] does to people, i’ve been exposed to it first hand and its not easy,” he told Channel 10
